Lonely Plant Book Covers

Lonely Planet Book Covers is a recreation of the original cover design by Lonely Planet. The covers were created with the intention of only using ‘handmade’ designs and stepping away from a digital outcome. They are made using photographs of pieces of watercolour painted paper overlaying one another. My main focus, when creating the book covers, was to use bold colours and typography. I wanted the covers to be eye catching, yet simplistic, the same feeling someone would want when planning to travel.
